Hi, I just got an N5200BR, and after going through some HD incompatibility (the Samsung 500GB drives I first installed didn't work, so had to replace them with WDs,) I am all set up with RAID 6.
I am trying to figure out how to set up FTP.
On the Mac OS X server I just replaced with the Thecus, I had a separate folder for each client, which they could access with their own log/pass. Each client could see only their own folder, and could not see (or access) the FTP folders for other clients, nor any of the shared file folders. There was no Anonymous Access allowed.
I am trying to set up the Thecus the same way, but not sure how to do it. I see a couple of modules here, but am not sure either really does what I need.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Sorry to go off-topic. You mentioned you had problems with samsung 500GB drives. I am also having problems with 500GB samsung drives. Can I ask what kind of problem you are having? Mine is a booting problem.
Thanks.

It's not possible to setup the FTP Service in the way you had it on Your OS X server - what is possible with the existing modules: FTPACCESS : make folders visible or invisible for all FTP users PUREFTPD : set some parameters of the FTP server (i.e. anonymous access can be disabled) It is not possible at the moment to jail users on their home directory and to make the other folders invisible for them. However You can set ACL's to each folder, so it is only possible for a user to step in "his" directory - but the user will see all other folders.
If You want to jail users, then You have to edit manualy the PUREFTPD startup script and the passwd file (I've described that roughly in another thread here, but not tested it at the moment)
hope it helps br Peter
