Maybe it`s better to install the 2.00.03beta at first. I have done so and no problems with the upgrade Rainer

No, don't do this. I didn't have the ...3beta and it installed fine. Did you try a reboot and then trying again to install the new firmware?

hmm, upgraded from 2.00.02 to 2.00.04 without problems - all my modules were installed and enabled (SSHD, SYSUSER, TWONKYMEDIA, PUREFTPD, INFO) and the upgrade was without problems. There might be a problem upgrading if IMGDUP module is installed (happens in prior upgrades to some users). br Peter

hi all, thanks for your replies.
I don't have any modules installed as i am unable to install them!! It doesn't do anything after selecting a file and clicking upload.
I think there is something majorly wrong with my current firmware as I get loads of html errors using the admin gui!?
I am just in the process of taking a backup, i will then remove all the disks and try the firmware upgrade via the USB stick method thingy...
Does anyone have a script thingy with the latest version firmware referenced? I don't have a UNIX machine to edit the file...

Is it a browser issue? have you tried firefox/ie or a different laptop/desktop that can connect to your 5200? I upgraded mine just fine and haven't had any issues. Is the firmware .bin file corrupt?

Hi All,
Upgraded using the USB stick method, all worked fine for a day. After a couple reboots and leaving it off over night, it now boots VERY quickly, NO services start, and LCD displays WAN N/A, Raid NONE.
Box seems dead now!!
USB stick upgrade doesn't do anything either!
four buttons under the LCD don't work.
Please help!!
Merry Xmas all!

Take it back to your retailer and get the Thecus support to replace the Disk on Module (DOM). In theory, you will not have lost any data because the RAID configuration is on the drives.
