Hi,
I have recently installed an N2100 and the temperature is constantly at 49 / 120 (°C / °F) for the system and 51 / 124 (°C / °F) for the HD. Reading other threads on temperature this seems to be extremely high. I am worried that the HDs will not have the normal lifespan.
Does anyone have similar experience with the temperatures or is this normal operating temperature? I am using the N2100 in Raid1 mode with two Samsung 400GByte discs and 2.1.00 firmware.
Any help is welcome.
Greetings from Germany,
oreos

My system temperature is 50C with the disks at 51. Two WD 500 drives in RAID1. It is certainly warmer than I like to see. The ambient temperature is about 25C.

Hi
Same disks WD500 and same temperature : 49° for system and 50° for HDD - Fan at full speed : 5300 rpm
I would have imagine that when the disks go spin off, this would lower a lot but it does not
I hope this will not limit too much the lifetime of the system.
