Hi,
nearly perfect idea, but "umount /raid/data" fails because the sshd-module is started from /raid/data/modules/SSHD.
I got still no answer from thecus.
Greetings, Norbert

Hi Norbert, at first sight I thought that this could be a problem of my SSHD module.... and it is somehow a problem of that module as the sshd is running from /raid/data/... But I didn't want to put the exe to some place on another partition, so there is no real convincing solution at the moment. I'll think about it... Why did Thecus remove their SSH support!? If they didn't removed it we wouldn't have these problems now....! So Thecus, please enable SSH support again in the next release!! Andreas

Greetings, Norbert Hi, I doubt your Migration process be block , maybe cause by module like SSHD. Because, thecus use /app/bin/service stop ,try to stop all the service. But SSHD is not in service stop process. So ,it could be cause resize file system fail. Thecus have a patch maybe could help you to expand your file system. Try to ask thecus support team ,they could help you.

Because, thecus use /app/bin/service stop ,try to stop all the service. But SSHD is not in service stop process. This is not true /app/bin/service stop calls /img/bin/rc/rc.module stop and this calls all the stop scripts of all modules installed. So if there are no errors in the module stop scripts, all modules are stopped whenever /app/bin/service stop is called. Andreas

If you want to enabled sshd , try /usr/sbin/stond .

Hello Kevin, I don't understand your point.... I already knew for some time that Thecus covered their shhd daemon under the name /usr/sbin/stond but this is not important for me... You need more than just an ssh daemon. You need the supporting programs and scripts, you need user management, etc. I'm not using /usr/sbin/stond because I cannot rely on it's presence. Therefore I'm bringing my own version in my module. But I'd be still happy if Thecus officially supports SSH in the future... Andreas

Hi Norbert, hi Kevin, nearly perfect idea, but "umount /raid/data" fails because the sshd-module is started from /raid/data/modules/SSHD. Yesterday I was writing a post regarding the syntax error in a Thecus shell script (see here: thecususergroup.proboards106.com/index.cgi?board=n5200modifications&action=display&thread=1171653075). This error now explains why the SSHD module wasn't stopped prior to the firmware upgrade. I presume that SSHD was the first or last modules installed, isn't it Norbert? So with the current firmware and as long as Thecus hasn't fixed that bug I can only suggest to disable all the modules before doing a firmware upgrade! Andreas
