Whenever my N5200 renews its DHCP lease, it seems to drop SMB connections, even though the IP address doesn't change.
Is there a reason for this? Is anyone else experiencing the problem? Has anyone found a work-around?
Regards, James.

Although I have not experienced this, it does not surprise me. Although you know it's the same IP address being assigned to it, the Thecus doesn't and so assumes it's a new address. As a result it will have to re-negotiate active connections using the "new" IP address.
What I've done, and this should work for you, is set the IP address to be static on the N5200. I have then 'reserved' that static IP address in the DHCP server by assigning it to a MAC address that does not exist on my network. That way I know the DHCP server will never assign that IP and cause conflicts with the N5200.
Hope this helps.
