howdy all
wondering if its possible to expand a 1 disk (JBOD) to a 2 or 3 disk array (RAID1/5) without destroying the information on the original disk?
-i currently have the 5200br with a Seagate 750Gb disk -i plan to purchase another two 750's

Yes, It is easy to extend in N5200. You just plugin the new disk ,and use add spare. System will auto expand .

I had the same migration plan.
Started with 1 750GB in a JBOD.
Then planned to migrate to a 3 disk RAID5.
However I was not able to do that.
The only option I hade from my single disk JBOD was to expand linear into more space. No path over to any RAID-levels.
That was my experience.
