I'm having problems with my brand new Thecus
Problem 1)
Problem Shutdown - If I select in the interface to Shutdown the machine, the web interface says the machine is shutdown (after counting down 30seconds) but it does not actually. To shutdown I have to hold in the power button for 10seconds until the machine switches off.
Problem 2)
I have a folder on my Thecus called rootfs, which has a username and password of rootfs, rootfs. On the share there is the directory called Incoming. I have files coping from my website to the Thecus using the torrent protocol. But the download fails because half way through downloading the folder disappears. The share is still mapped as a drive (I'm running Win XP). But clicking on the folder name Incoming says "Folder has gone away". The other folders on the share are accessible.
Problem 3)
I cannot access, or get into any of my snapshots. How am I meant to be able to restore files off my snapshot
To fix all these problems I have tried to upgrade my firmware
Problem 4)
I downloaded the latest firmware, and tried to install it on my Thecus Drive. It uploaded correctly via the admin interface. I then confirmed that shares would need to be disabled to continue. The screen then refreshed but the percentage counter never left 0%. I tried doing a CTRL-F5 refresh but nothing happened. I left it for over 3 hours but nothing happened. I read the online documentation about doing a CTRL-F5 refresh to make sure the page is not in cache and now the page does not load. (I have cache disabled anyways as I'm a web developer and cannot develop with the cache enabled).
I tried logging into the admin area on another machine. I can log in, but my CPU usage is at 100%. And my shares are still visible
I'm having major problems with this machine. It just doesn't work!
