I'm using 5 Seagate Barracuda 7200.8 ST3400832AS, 400GiB, SATA 1, 8 MiB buffer. I haven't had any trouble with these drives in a RAID 5. The N5200 had one firmware upgrade to v1.00.01.3 (for which I had to rebuild the RAID!). I have a sixth matching drive when I find a cooled eSATA enclosure I like.
Three 500gb Seagate 7200.9's working fine. (with the exception of an unresolvable IRQ conflict on one of my PC's with a PCI Promise EIDE controller card that seems to have caused various data corruption.)
