Hi,
We are in de process of replacing a Thecus N8800. It's running several raid5 sets shared using NFS. Those NFS shares a connected to a VMWare 5.5 environment.
Now that we are trying to move the data (either vhd or within the VM) we notice transfer is too slow to get the job done. If we transfer data from within a vm on the thecus we get (depening on file size) 1 to 3mb/sec. If we transfer the VHD from within VMware it takes a 1.8TB vhd over 72Hours to move.
Both are way to slow as i would like to get atleast around 20mb/sec read speed from raid5 within the Thecus N8800.
I've tried various things (other switch, cables, settings etc etc), but no success Anyone any idea how to get a decent amount of speed from the Thecus?
