Hello, I have an ALLNET ALL6600 which I have successfully upgraded to a Thecus N5200 with Firmware Version 1.00. 07 (with the USB method and the factorytest.sh, thanks to this Forum ;-)). After the upgrade, everything worked fine. (Also before with the latest newest Firmware). Then I upgraded to the latest official Thecus Firmware 2.00.18. After the Update I couldn’t connect to the NAS via the web interface or see my drives on the NAS but could find the NAS with the Thecus Setup Utility (same address then before, DHCP enabled, 168.192.2.105, connected with the WAN port). I tried everything to connect but was not able to find a solution. So I thought I killed the box… Then after a while I installed again the 1.00.07 firmware with the USB stick method. I was really surprised when I saw that I could connect to the NAS again via the web Interface. So I tried to update again to 2.00.18.. but the same… Then I upgraded from 1.00.07 to 2.00.04.. not work… After many trials I changed the connection from the WAN to the LAN port with fixed IP. And that worked… the web interface works again and I could update to 2.00.18. Has anybody a solution or explanation for this? I think I understand the difference between WAN and LAN port and over the LAN port I can’t get an IP via DHCP.. how I can fix this and what are the disadvantages my workaround now? Sorry for my English, I’m from Germany… and thanks for your support
