I'm in need of some help. I have the N4100EVO and 2 days after getting everything running the front panel lights died on me. 1 day after this I tried to create a folder and it said "You don`t have any RAID system" (this is not English).
Now, no matter what I try to modify I get this error. I've been in contact with support (who also do not know proper English), and they told me the that drive #2 was bad. I pulled it, put in the spare and forced a re-build. No change.
Now they are telling me that the RAID is good, but the software/config is bad (not joining the drives together). The whole time during this process (minus rebuilds) the RAID screen tells me my RAID is healthy.
Now they want to connect to my NAS over the web to "help me". I would rather not go this route. Can anyone please help me recover my 1.5TB of data ?? It also seems to take support two days to reply to me. I read online how horrible they're support it now that I have his issue.
For those who have this error in the future, here are the steps to resolve:
1. Get access to the admin utility anyway possible. 2. Download the latest or your current firmware. 3. Use the admin utility to reflash/upgrade the firmware. 4. Try accessing the drive again through the network. 5. Backup your data and return this product as quick as possible!
The support staff were no help at all. They played the guessing game the whole time and wanted to connect and browse my device in order to fix it. They replied to my ticket # when they wanted to, most times it took 2 days or more for a reply. They could not speak proper English and I felt like they did not fully support me as I expected (offer phone support, give alternate options, ask questions). When they did respond it was because I bugged them and they eventually stopped responding.
