I'd like to see a download (would be willing to pay) that would allow me to install the Mediabolic server on my N2100.
Or does anyone know of a way of getting it to work on a standard unit?
Cheers, Graeme

Try to ask to the thecus support. Or you can install the Twonklyvision module (not free) but works very well.

I tried Thecus technical support. They said no basically, I'd have to buy the Media version of their unit. I'm not buying a second one!
I've got the TwonkyMedia module running at the moment, but I've not been overjoyed with it so far. Sometimes it works a treat, but sometimes my Player just doesn't see it. I have to reboot the 2100, which is a pain. I'm using a Helios X500 to play on the TV.

I use the Twonkyvision module with a dlink 320rd home mediaplayer and it works well.
The only time my mediaplayer don't see all media is when my n2100 "wake up" (HDD and the twonky server), I just have to refresh the list on my player to correct it.

Graeme I've been hoping to run across a torrent of the Mediabolic binary file for the N2100 or something, so far no luck though. I haven't even seen any posts my anyone using it yet though, I wonder how good it actually is.

Came accross this on a google search. Are you Serious?! The Only difference between the N2100 Media edition and the N2100 is the purchase date! Software Compatability issues and division should be expected when were talking about DLINK vs LINKSYS. But Not N2100 Media vs N2100. This is a foolish move for Thecus. The company should bend over backwards making SOFTWARE FREELY AVAILABLE to Thecus owners. By denying such requests they only force us to spend our money elseware and deffinatly NOT buy another Thecus product again. Its your grave to dig but Thecus Software should be free to Thecus owners.
