I have an issue with the iTunes Server on the N2100. A while back I had it running with a few albums and it worked quiet well. They could be seen by iTunes running on Windows or my Mac. As it worked I thought I would copy my music library to it, which I did (about 400GB). The iTunes server is now no-longer visible to any other system. I have tried disabling the service, re-enabling it, changing the scan interval - all have failed to fix the problem. Any ideas on how to fix or troubleshoot this? Thanks for any help, Andy

I logged a ticket with Thecus support for this issue and the reply says: "The N2100 supports HDD's up to 500GB, the WD EARS you have installed are 2TB. Next that, the EARS drives do have a block size of 4K, but the N2100 supports 512 byte block sized HDD's only. This will cause that the RAID is misaligned, which will cause stability issues." I'm not quite sure what the statement about the RAID becoming misaligned means, but it seems the N2100 is limited to 500GB disks with 512 byte blocks. I think the time might have come to replace the N2100 with something else as I need to store over 1TB of data. Any recommendations for replacement units? One last point - I tried several searches to see where the block sizes were specified in the Western Digital disks but could not find any information. Dooes anyone know where you can find this type of information? And finally I'd like to say thanks to Thecus European Tech Support for responding to my ticket for what is now a legacy product.
