Not quite sure if this is the right subforum, but couldn't think of a better one.
At our workplace we run a 5200 non-Pro with firmware 2.01.10.12. I ended up with that version because we had OS X/Windows/smb problems in the past and I didn't want to play around with firmware downgrades etc.
Basically it works well, or has been for quite a while. But recently a user somehow managed to upload a bunch of files that can no longer be deleted. I, as per ACL, should have full access and can do anything with any file, except those.
I get a "unable to delete" or "insufficient privileges" errors:
- On OSX they are marked as having read & write permissions, and not Locked, yet when I try to delete them it fails with insufficient permissions. In the shell, they are marked as -rwxrwxr--, and trying to give it 777 full permissions fails because lack of permissions (even in sudo, and I realize that one's local, not at the server level) (it will list me as the owner)
- From the Windows end, I can see they are marked as read-only, but I cannot remove that flag because of file locked / write protected / in use. (No one's accessing them, even restarted the server to cut any unintended connection) Looking at the permissions, I should be a part of the group that has full access according to the files' Security tab.
So I'm stuck, any suggestions on how to get access to the files in such a way I can delete them?
(As far as Windows goes, any way I can double-check my credentials when logging in? (aka Keychain on OS X))
