Sorry I didn't get a chance to look at this today. Hopefully over the weekend.
My theory is the web interface registers php scripts with the rtorrent daemon. The php binary was not recompiled with a later version of libcurl like the others. So my first step will be to do that.
I'll let you know how I get on. Thanks all for testing this module.

Well it wasn't that .... but fixed now anyway. rapidshare.com/files/379612451/N5200_RTORRENT_00.00.03.zipChanges : - Fixes permissions issues with /raid/data/RTorrent - Fixes problem with https rss feeds - Web config (rss config etc) is now preserved between installs/uninstalls (from this release forward). Do you think rtorrent will run into problems such as viruses and malware while torrenting, since it is linux based

Although your raid won't get infected using RTORRENT, it doesn't stop you downloading a windows virus with it that you happen to execute on your windoze machine from the raid.
If that makes any sense.

rapidshare.com/files/382692944/N5200_RTORRENT_00.00.04.zipHighly suggested you read the below Changes : - Includes ipfilter modification detailed on libtorrent.rakshasa.no/ticket/239 Notes: = The first time you enable this module it will download a default set of ip filters from www.bluetack.co.uk. This will mean the first enable will take a while. Subsequent disables/enables should be fast (well relatively) = If you wish to modify the set of filters feel free to vi /raid/data/module/RTORRENT/system/bin/dl_blocklist.sh = If you have previously installed an older version of this module you will need to manually add the following : ip_filter=/raid/data/module/RTORRENT/system/etc/ipfilter/blocklist schedule = update_blocklist,00:00:00,24:00:00,"execute={/raid/data/module/RTORRENT/system/bin/dl_blocklist.sh}" schedule = filter,01:00:00,24:00:00,reload_ip_filter= to the file /raid/data/module/RTORRENT/system/etc/.rtorrent.rc before you enable Dybuk

Ipfiltering restricts the ip addresses of peers/seeds rtorrent will connect to. Some people won't use any bittorrent client without this functionality.
You could try slapping :
encoding_list = UTF-8
in the .rtorrent.rc file.

Does anyone know if rTorrent will be accessing the disks even if there are no active torrents?
Azureus does and because of that I cannot get the disks to sleep on idle. Looking for a different client which does not access the disks when there are no torrents.
Shutting the application down or scheduling is not an option as I need the client to operate on demand and not on a fixed schedule.
thank you so much!

Hi,
I have the following problem with the rtorrent module:
It runs fine for hours but after a while it wil stop working. Disabling , enabling will restart the module and it will work fine for another couple of hours.
How can I troubleshoot this to see what's happening ?
thx in advance
==> problem solved !! It was the native build-in download manager scheduler

Dybuk, Can you perhaps shed a light on how to connect transdroid to your module. Transdroid is an android application to manage your torrent eg rtorrent www.transdroid.org/download/using-rtorrent-on-ubuntu/Apparently you need to connect to rpc but I'm stuck for now with the rpc plugin. Any help would be welcome, thx Gert

hi guys
Using this fantastic client / module on my 0503
Im hoping somone can answer this question for me
Using this client's rss feed, does it required the drives to be powered up ?
Was having concerns that rss'ing on my NAS unit would prevent the drives going into standby mode and therefore keeping them fully powered up even if no torrents are downloading.
Im hoping somone will say that the client is loaded in memory and therefore no HD activity is required untill a torrent starts, but i would love to hear the honest answer.
There seems to be no way of checking if the drives are on standby in the user management panel.
Thanks in advance
