You can create a folder through the web interface called RTorrent so it appears as a share.
Or you can sym link it somewhere else.
rm -rf /raid/data/RTorrent ln -s /raid/data/someshare/RTorrent /raid/data/RTorrent
or you can modify the config file under
/raid/data/module/RTORRENT/system/etc

Hey
Just signed up here to enquire why this module wouldnt do https trackers, and ask if libcurl could be updated, only to find v2.
Awesome.
Will test out today and let you know of any issues.
Thanks

how do you delete the download files? Because when I want to delete,it keeps mentioning that "you need permission to perform this action? Anyone knows how to do so?

Run : chmod 777 /raid/data/RTorrent
I'll make sure the next version does this on install.

So this chmod 777 /raid/data/RTorrent give rights to the folder to delete? How about copying and cutting and moving it to another folder? just a curious, may I know where is the torrent file located at? I am refering to the one we add for downloading and not the actual downloaded one

Yup ssh to the box and run that command.
That should give you permission. If there are any further issues I'll have to look at changing the umask under which the daemon runs.
The torrents are stored in
/raid/data/module/RTORRENT/system/etc/session

I only see the downloaded files and not the torrent file...Do i need to do anything to make them appear?

Like I said the session dir for RTorrent is set to be stored under :
/raid/data/module/RTORRENT/system/etc/session
You can change this by editing the config file :
/raid/data/module/RTORRENT/system/etc/.rtorrent.rc

Run : chmod 777 /raid/data/RTorrent I'll make sure the next version does this on install. Dybuk just tested it out...Some folder in RTorrent can be deleted and some still facing the same issue of asking permission.. PS: I have to delete RTorrent folder to delete everything.. Otherwise, it will keep prompting for the permission Any idea on it?

Suspect you might need to do a
chmod -R 755 /raid/data/RTorrent
and then add a umask to the /raid/data/module/RTORRENT/shell/module.rc file like below :
cd /raid/data/module/$modName/system/bin umask 0 ./screen -dmS rtorrent ./rtorrent
then do a :
/raid/data/module/RTORRENT/shell/module.rc restart

Thanks dybuk
You are a genius.....it seems to be working fine at the moment
By the way, just an interesting technical qns, can utorrent be make into a module for Thecus NAS...
If it is, it will be awesome as it can support UTF-8 very well
Usually from my experience, UTF-8 doesn't work properly on rtorrent as it does not display the character correctly

Update on HTTPS, For the life of me i cannot get this working!
Let me clarify - HTTPS Trackers are working fine - put http_cacert in .rtorrent.rc and it will connect to https trackers fine.
i am, however, unable to add https .torrents via URL and also unable to add https rss feeds, so it seems to be an issue with rutorrent's interation with curl, and not rtorrent itself.
ive tried adding the cert file in /usr/share/ssl/certs or whateva the folder is that Curl looks for, and i can view the feed from the cmdline via ssh, using only curl https://feedurl.
i know its not a problem with the feed because:
- ive dumped the feed to http server, and rutorrent likes that fine. - ive also installed rutorrnet on anohter full server i have, and it loads the http rss fine.
this RuTorrent module does work with non-https rss feeds.
Any suggestions welcome! Using v2
Thanks
