Presuming that all N5200s have exactly the same BIOS, would it be a crazy idea for someone to write down the keyboard sequence required to change the boot order to make a USB dvd drive boot first? How dangerous could it be? There are usually only about 8 keystrokes to change the boot order, right? Obviously, this would have to be done by someone who has attached a monitor to their N5200, and who can remember what the original state of the BIOS was, before they tinkered with it in the first place. Such a person could just write down which buttons to press - eg 1) hit del, wait 10 seconds 2) hit tab three times 4) hit down arrow twice etc etc - and post the result on the user group with the usual warnings and no implied warranty. That way, the rest of us could change our boot sequence, without going to the trouble of attaching a VGA adapter and monitor, and install something like Debian instead of fiddling around with the mysterious Thecus OS. What could go wrong? The worst that could happen would be that the machine wouldn't boot until a VGA adapter was attached and the BIOS reconfigured. I for one would be willing to take that risk. Any takers? Maybe we'd need two takers, to confirm each other's results and ensure those who follow aren't led to our destruction by some evil genius. Or is this idea too stupid for words?

I should add, obviously we'd need to boot a preconfigured Live disk, and complete the installation over SSH, or something like that. There must be a way to do it. Though now that I think about the actual installation, maybe buying a VGA plug and soldering it onto the motherboard would still be quicker and easier. Thoughts?
