Hi Guys,
I just bought myself an N2100 second hand. I initially set it up with 2 seagate 7200rpm drives (7200.9 and 7200.10). Also, after initially confirming the machine booted and I was able to access the web interface I shutoff and installed a 512MB memory module (Corsair 3200XL - which has memory diagnostic LED's).
This was working well for about half an hour, until the thecus basically locked up and became unresponsive. I noticed that the hard drives and internals of the inclosure had gotten quite warm by this stage, so I've left it off for a while to cooldown, and removed 1 drive, figuring I will set it up with 1 drive initially (until I can get it working - hopefully).
Now when I turn on the thecus, nothing seems to be happening, the blue power light will remain on and the fan will spin for 10 seconds. The HDD led remains on for ~7 seconds. During this whole process there is no memory access according to the memory LED's on the corsair memory module.
I've tried both the original memory stick and the corsair and niether seem to exhibit any life. I think the firmware that is loaded is 1.0.5hotfix4 (I do remember briefly checking that when the device was working.
Can anyone help me with this Thecus N2100?
Thanks,
