I am enjoying this unit. The only thing that concerns me is a graceful shutdown in the event of a power outage. I have a UPS that can run a .bat file to shutdown my Windows PC. I'd like to also incorporate a command line shutdown of my N4100+ at the same time to protect it from an abrupt power outage.
Thank you, Rob

I,
Did you try ssh ?
Something like : ssh userid@n4100 /img/bin/sys_halt
Regards Ed

If that will do the trick, then I'm excited. Unfortunately, I know nothing about SSH. Are there any sites that can get me on the right track with this? (installation, command-line syntax, running commands from a windows box, etc.)
Thank you.

Hi, How did you intend to send commands to your units ? Say you are on server Windows_UPS and need to send shutdown to Nas4100. Install ssh on Windows_UPS, configure your UPS software to issue the command : ssh userid@Nas4100 /img/bin/sys_halt You may at first have a problem with the password, so check the user manual. www.funix.org/fr/linux/main-linux.php?ref=openssh2&page=menuEd
