Hello, I am looking for a solution how I can do a crossupdate for my Allnet 6400+ NAS to Thecus 4100+. Allnet has stopped the support, and I need a way to enable NFS. Allnet don't provide modules for that and although the firmware is from 2007. When trying to update with an Thecus firmware I get at first: CIFS/SMB, WebDisk und UPnP werden während der Firmware-Aktualisierung ausgeschaltet. Ihre aktuelle Firmware-Version : 2.0.04.3 Firmwareversions-Upload : 2.00.06 Möchten Sie systeem aktualisieren? what means that the system asks me if I really want to upgrade. and CIFS/SMB, WebDisk and UPNP services are stopped. Choosing yes brings: the warning not to switch of the power followed by the error that the firmware could not be updated. I think, that the system checks the manufacturer of the firmware and stops the update in case of mismatch. Is there anbody familar with this issue ? Regards Ralf

hi, Do you have an old allnet firmware update ? One suggestion is to change the n4100 to include the 6100 tag.

Hi all, I know, its an old thread I think about crossgrading an ALL6400+ (FW 2.00.07) to N4100pro. Is there any way to work it out? What are the arguments pro/con crossgrading? Thanks herbertm
