Hello, I've read through the boards already, but am still confused. I have a second ethernet enabled device that I want to have access to the web via my N2100 (like an ethernet bridge). Is there a simple way to configure the N2100 so that the device can use the LAN2 port for access?
I see an option for IPsharing which has no real documentation. And then there is the option to set up a second subnet with DHCP for LAN2. The latter seems like my best bet, but I haven't been able to get it working.
Has anyone done this, and if so how? Thank you.

I've done this and yes, IP sharing is what you want. My config was:
IP-LAN-1: 192.168.5.4 static and internet router as 192.168.5.1 IP-LAN-2: 192.168.6.4 static and using same info as IP-LAN-1, with DHCP enabled from 192.168.100 to 110
End effect was that I could access the internet, connected to port 1, by plugging in on port 2.

Before I can say I've tried exactly what you've suggested, I need to get my N2100 on a static IP and can't even seem to do that. See my other thread: thecususergroup.proboards106.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=installationissues&thread=3184I will say however, that I tried almost what you said, the difference being that I was using a "reserved" dynamic IP address for LAN1. The N2100 assigned an IP address in the new subnet to my 2nd machine via LAN2, but it couldn't access the internet because it had no DNS address assigned. Unfortunately, even though there is a GUI field for it, the N2100 does not let you type in a DNS address for LAN2. The manual claims that it uses the DNS from LAN1. This appears untrue and I don't see how this works anyway if they are on different subnets. What am I missing?

Just to report back... Once I managed to get LAN1 set as static, the method described by eldigby basically just worked.
Set LAN2 IP address to something in a different subnet than LAN1 - for me it was 192.168.11.101. Use default mask 255.255.255.0. Enable DHCP for LAN2 and set the range - for me I set it to 192.168.11.150 ... 192.168.11.199. Set the DNS server to the same value that you specified in the static configuration on LAN1. Finally enable IP sharing on LAN1. Works like a charm.
