I'm a newbie with Apache and maybe my question it's stupid: excuse me for that !
I installed the webserver module on N2100 and I understand how to create many virtual hosts on N2100 working on httpd.conf file.
If I want to limit the access on some virtual hosts, I understand that I can do that working on htpasswd command and then working, another time, on httpd.conf file.
My problem it's that I don't know how to run the command prompt on the N2100 webserver apache module !!!! In other words, what I have to do for running htpasswd command if I don't know how to run a generic apache command prompt ?
Greetings from Italy
Roberto

THANK YOU !
I installed the ssh module on N2100 and also the module for reset the root password and with putty on my computer I login as root account on the device.
I create simple things (directories, files, etc...) for understanding this new environment, but when I try to run htpasswd the system replies me with command not found. I am clearly into the bin directory and I see there is the htpasswd command if I do a ls command. I note only that when I do ls command, putty displays many commands in the colour green and after the name of the command there is a * (htpasswd*, checkgid*, ab*, and so on...). With chmod I set 755 (but if I'm logged as root account, it is not important, right ?). There is no htpasswd2 command and if I try to use whereis command, another time the system replies me with command not found. If i run the command ps -ef | grep 'apache' the system replies this:
2124 root 4832 S /opt/apache/bin/httpd -k start -DSSL -DUserModule 2463 root 4664 S /raid/module/webserver/apache/bin/httpd -k start 2472 nobody 4832 S /raid/module/webserver/apache/bin/httpd -k start 2473 nobody 4692 S /raid/module/webserver/apache/bin/httpd -k start 2474 nobody 4692 S /raid/module/webserver/apache/bin/httpd -k start 2475 nobody 4692 S /raid/module/webserver/apache/bin/httpd -k start 2476 nobody 4692 S /raid/module/webserver/apache/bin/httpd -k start 2491 root 4860 S /opt/apache/bin/httpd -k start -DSSL -DUserModule 2492 root 4852 S /opt/apache/bin/httpd -k start -DSSL -DUserModule 2493 root 4852 S /opt/apache/bin/httpd -k start -DSSL -DUserModule 2495 root 4852 S /opt/apache/bin/httpd -k start -DSSL -DUserModule 2496 root 4852 S /opt/apache/bin/httpd -k start -DSSL -DUserModule 19642 root 464 S grep apache
Anyone can help me ?

Try running
./ in front of the command you are trying to run (dot slash) The commands that you have run so far are built into the shell. Other problems need to be called in a different way. (Google Linux novice help)
You may also need to run this from the directory that you want the htspasswd file to be created.
./[full path of program]/[program name] [options]
I do not have the apache module installed at the moment. Your problems are not specifically with the N2100, but general apache/Linux ones.
I have to say this, but always Google as someone may have created a guide.

YES ! Thank you Jonhrbaker !!!! With ./ before the command htpasswd I'm at last able to use it !!!! Wengi, as I said in the first post, I'm a newbie with Apache, but I can assure you that in these days I read many online manuals and forum for achieving my (little) goal. With reference of this link httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/programs/htpasswd.htmlI understand that htpasswd it's a command... but I listen to you with pleasure if I can learn something other ! Thank you to all for the support. Greetings Roberto

OK, I'm a bit late to the party but a great tool for working on the Thecus whilst staying in a Windoze environment is WinSCP. Easy to visualy find your way around and edit files on the Thecus. winscp.net/eng/docs/introductionNigel.
