I installed it and now I can't access the file systems on the server. The webserver doesn't even seem to be functioning. The front panel display does have an "!" in the upper right corner
The only information that looks suspicious on the display is this: DISK INFO:[000__]
I can't remember if this is nominal as I've never paid attention to the display when everything was working correctly.
Any ideas?

The ! Means you have logs in the system HBT Log. Search on exclamation and you'll find info on how to read and clear this.
The 000 means you have 3 healthy disks. If you have 4 or 5 disks then there is a problem with the last two.
Looks a new option under Storage - Adv Option - Enable LCM ... Or I don't remember that if it was there.

Disabled all modules except SYSUSER and SSHD.
Upgrade went smoothly.
Re-enabled my other modules; all still working.

Can anyone confirm that Samsung spinpoint drives are now correctly supported?
I'm on 2.00.11 beta, and I don't want to risk another you can't go back update!

i CANNOT confirm that 2.12 works with my 1TB-Samsung disks !
Before 2.12 i have 2.08 installed and it worked like a charm - after upgrading to 2.12 i have very BIG TROUBLES !
After rebooting one drive has 2 reallocated sectors and one drive has completely gone !
Everytime i reboot my nas the Raid is "degraded" für about 20 minutes and afterwards its "damaged" and i cant access it anymore.
The last few days i tried to backup my data which is very, very difficult cause i only have 20 minutes after every reboot.
I have already created a support-ticket at thecus - till now i have no response...
very frustrating...
So if you have Samsung-1TB-Disks stay at your current firmware !

Okay, I'm frightened!
I wonder how much another flash drive would cost so I could clone and try it, leaving myself a regression path... Hmmm...

well, you should have everything on the RAID backed up anyway.... repeat after me, RAID IS NOT A BACKUP
it's about availability.... not security....
so you make sure your backup is up to date and valid, you update the firmware, and if it hoses the system, you do a hard reset to the factory firmware, flash the last firmware that worked for you and restore your data from your backup....
clearly, if you know what you're doing, there's nothing to be afraid of.
