Hello everybody,
It would be extremely helpfull for my customers (and I'm sure for most of the N5200 users) to add a read only option to the public property of folders. Instead of Yes/No the public property should be Yes:Read/Yes:Read-Write/No.

You can do that via ACL - set a folder to "non Public" and then give the group of "users" or every single user read only access via ACL. br Peter

No it is not the same thing. Using ACL means creating an account for each possible user, then the user needs to log in each time he needs to use the share. This is impossible for some big companies I work with. They need for some public data the ability to make them available (to visitors, other divisions, ...) without creating hundred of account or without taking the risk to see the content deleted or altered.
For now the solution is very simple : no thecus and shares managed by NT server on PC disks... It's just lost sales for thecus and no commission for us...
