Hi all,
I am having an issue with getting rtorrent & wtorrent going on N4100+ w/ latest FW 2.00.05.
I have followed the instructions and installed N4100PLUS-UTILS-1.2.00 & N4100PLUS-RTORRENT-2.0.00 Go through the wtorrent setup but when I login I am getting "Error: could not connect to rtorrent" I have rebooted countless times, re-installed countless times to no avail.
Am I missing someting?
Any help will be greatfully appreciated.
Cheers
Dan

I have the same issue, when i log into wtorrent i get the same message yet the following folders/files are in the rtorrent folder, which is public.
active, finished .session .rtorrent.rc file
if i manually put a torrent file in the active folder it creates a folder and files for that torrent but does not actually download them
i have opened my router for the active ports but i am at a loss

hi!
I had the same problems.
this worked for me:
log into nas (ssh).
edit the file /app/etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf and add the includes of the rtorrent module for http. send a HUP signal to the apache server. (kill -HUP <PID of apache>). wtorrent should be able to connect to rtorrent know.
alternatively you can use ntorrent (win gui) for rtorrent which can connect to rtorrent via ssh.
hope this helps

Hi Rayman,
edit /app/etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf. add the following line to the section where modules are loaded: LoadModule scgi_module /raid/module/RTORRENT/system/mod/mod_scgi.so
and add following lines at the end of httpd.conf:
SCGIMount /RPC2 127.0.0.1:5000
<Location /RPC2> AuthType Basic AuthName "Thecus N2100 rTorrent" AuthUserFile "/raid/module/RTORRENT/system/etc/user.basic" require valid-user </Location>
You'll find this lines at /raid/module/RTORRENT/system/etc/httpd.conf
After that send HUP to the apache process.

Hi mumu, I now undestand how to do the below, many thanks; edit /app/etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf.add the following line to the section where modules are loaded: LoadModule scgi_module /raid/module/RTORRENT/system/mod/mod_scgi.soand add following lines at the end of httpd.conf: SCGIMount /RPC2 127.0.0.1:5000
<Location /RPC2> AuthType Basic AuthName "Thecus N2100 rTorrent" AuthUserFile "/raid/module/RTORRENT/system/etc/user.basic" require valid-user </Location>Though I have a question. Do i leave the statement AuthName "Thecus N2100 rTorrent" as it is or change the N2100 to N4100+? I am a little confused (easily done) with the last part; You'll find this lines at /raid/module/RTORRENT/system/etc/httpd.confDo i need to do anything with the above statement? Thanks for all your help so far.

Hi rayman,
you can leave the authname statement as it is.
this is just the info for you where the modifications came from.
does wtorrent works for you now?

Hi mume,
many thanks for all your help.
I used smart ftp (SFTP over SSH) to download /app/etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf and edited it with jEdit
I made a backup and then uploaded the modified file, then rebooted the N4100+, i now nolonger have the error "Error: could not connect to rtorrent" and i can upload torrents.
Then i had to set the dns server on the N4100+ under network/WAN to that of my isp and the torrents started to download.
Many thanks for all your help.
