I have one rule for port 20950 TCP/UDP open (this is for azureus) and another rule for port 6886 TCP/UDP. No luck. Any other tips?

Got some Great news !
Speed Scheduler shows up in AzSMRC under the Plug-ins ! ...but it doesn't show in the list where you can change the config Still its 1 step closer
It just showed up after i pushed the Azureus 3.1.0.0 update to the thecus.
So all i have done is changed the config on my PC's Azureus then copied the "SavedSchedules.xml" to the plug-in directory which it it shows in AzSMRC mine = "/root/.azureus/plugins/SpeedScheduler" (copied using SSHD client)
Will post the results later.
Enjoy People.

when I'd previously looked at the speed scheduler add on, I found somewhere that it would not operate if azureus was running in "console" mode. This is how it's running on the nas

Drewy many thanks for this nice addition to the N5200(pro) ! The webinterface management doesn't have many options, but this module combined with the AzMRC plugin and program is perfect !
Thanks again.

I'm getting an update message in AzSMRC program for Vuze 3.1.1.0. Is it possible to send this to the Thecus, or will an new module build be required?
Thanks

If you look back in this thread you'll see it is discussed...I never imagined it would work but it does. The trick seems to be to "send" the update to the thecus, wait for the download to finish. Disconnect the AzSMRC client, stop/start the Azureus module and then reconnect with the client...you should then see that the server has been upgraded.

Disconnect the AzSMRC client, stop/start the Azureus module and then reconnect with the client...you should then see that the server has been upgraded. It wasn't that easy for me. I downloaded, and downloaded, stopped and restarted. The update never took hold. Then I logged in with SSH, and found the 'updateAzureus' script in the .../bin/azureus folder. It didn't run without modifications because it was looking for sudo. So I tweaked it a little, ran it, and it automatically downloaded and updated the Thecus azureus client for me. Now it's 3.1.1.0. Afterwards, I found an option in Preferences/Update/Auto Update. I checked the "Auto Update..." and I assume it will work in the future without me logging in with SSH to run it manually. I also was having all of the downloading problems. Once I enabled DHCP I was able to get the client running. I'd really like to have a fixed IP address, so I'll be looking into this later. /RC

The 3.1.1 update worked for me, but it did seem a little tricker than previous ones. In my earlier post I said to wait for the download to finish (after sending it to the thecus via AzSRMC) and then to restart the Azureus module. After re-reading this thread I realised I should have said wait for the download to finish, wait a couple of minutes and then re-start... For this particular update I had to wait a lot longer than a "couple" of minutes, more like 15 minutes....but then once I restarted it worked ok.
As regards DHCP settings for getting downloads to work, I'm not using dhcp I have a fixed ip address...Pencilgeek I'll try the torrent link you send me and report back on how I get on with it.

G'day,
Just want to confirm that HDD spindown doesn't work when the Azureus module is enabled - this is with no torrents downloading or seeding. I have Vuze v3.1.1.
Does anyone know which file it's hitting that prevents spindown?
Cheers Teck

anyone still have issues with the torrent downloading? I am able to add the torrent fine to the AzSMRC server, but it won't download (even though it is saying that its downloading). Has anybody figured out what could cause this download issue? My setup: WAN: 10.0.1.250 (Connected to router; this IP is static on the Thecus) LAN: 192.168.1.200 (Not connected to anything) No load balancing or IP sharing. The router that I am using is a Apple Airport Extreme 802.11n Wi-Fi. I have created a port mapping for my WAN connection and with the correct UDP/TCP port. I don't think my router is a issue because I am able to BT fine with a regular Azureus client on my MacBookPro. I also have the latest version of the AZUR module created by drewy. if your nas5200 is behind a router and using this mod, check for 2 things 1. the appropriate ports are forwarded from router to nas5200 2. set the dns server in nas5200, under the wan connection. this should be the same dns servers that was set in the router. or alternatively, you could set it to be the gateway's ip address and it should look for dns server from the router (i think it should work, in theory. but i haven't tested it) i had the same problem and it was resolved after i set the dns servers in nas5200 and rebooting. if your router supports UPnP, port forwarding isn't necessary.

I would think it's probably to do with safepeer. This will be updating it's list of blocked hosts at regular intervals. THe simple answer would be that if your not using it, switch it off but if that's not what your looking for, say so and I'll try and do something about it. Personally I always turn off azureus unless it's being used, I don't want it eating bandwidth for nothing....

I get an error "unknownhostexception" when I try to download torrent files with this mod. I'm not the only one getting this error it seems, so i'm going to start a new forum topic and I'll post a solution if I find one.

ok i do want to get to the bottom of this. There have been some users report that they've fixed the problem by configuring the nas to use dhcp. I'm not disbuting that this may have fixed their issues, I just don't understand why.
Why are you having to map open ports "one for webui, one for azsmrc" to the nas? are you connecting to azureus from outside the local network?
Just trying to understand so that I have a chance of replicating the problem....
