I finally got to log on remotely to the server but unfortunately I couldn't get any downloads to start. I kept getting an Unknown host exception error. Not only that was not able to maintain the changed path for the downloads. Changed it to /raid/data/torrents then it would change back to raid0/data/torrent.
By the way the Mac Jar file and Azureus plug in doesn't work I only got the .exe frontend to work on my PC.
feature request -
Reset to the default settings which seem to work temporarily. Default path - raid/data/torrents (so user only have to create a torrent mount folder)
Thanks

I just wanted to say that I installed your module and have Az up and running. I also followed your instructions to change the default directory and server setttings and that worked too. I only have two remaining issues I thought you might like to know about: 1. For some reason the AzSMRC client keeps connecting/reconnecting ever 5 seconds or so. Is this normal? It still updates the torrent states but I can't get any start/stop commands to go through. 2. I also can't pass "force re-check" commands through the AzSMRC client or through the web interface. Apart from that everything seems to be working fine...

I gave up, I can't seem to get this to work.. Keep getting unknown host connection regardless what I do. Downloads just will not connect.. Guess will have to wait for something better to come along.
Thanks

HI, I nice module if it works.
So far it installed nicely.
Torrents can be added be the client and will be stored in the wanted directory.
ONLY PROBLEM - They never start even if it says Downloading.
Is there a hint on how to get it to work?
Cheers Rar9

I think it is pretty clear that there is something in the 5200's network settings that stops the Az client from connecting correctly. I can use the client to change the settings (i.e the local save directory) but can't use it to start/stop torrents. Has anybody had any success in using the Az client to actually start and stop torrents on the 5200? For now I am thankful that I don't have to use MLdonkey's clunky web interface and can use the Az WebUI instead, whoppee! HI, I nice module if it works. So far it installed nicely. OK guys thanks for the feedback. I can't say that I have experinced the problems some of you are seeing with the client dissconnecting from the 5200. Or the issue of torrents not actaully downloading...
Have you set the download directory to a directory that actually exists?
I have a fix for the issue of azureus forgetting it's settings between re-boots, I will post an updated module in the next day or so.
The issue of azureus not starting a download, are you using both lan & wan interfaces? i.e. is the client connecting to the 5200 on the lan interface and the lan interface has no net access? If so you may want to try changing the "Bind to local IP address or interface" setting in preferences, Azureus Remote, Connection, Advanced Network settings...only a thought.

Nice! Looking forward to try it.
Are there plans to make a mod for the latest Azureus stable version?
Kind regards.

works fantastic for what it is atm. connects fine by azsmrc, but then it got the reconnect every 5 issue further on, maybe a week later when i updated to ur 2nd version. i have few bugs that i've seen over the couple of weeks of use. - azsmrc 'restart server' option seems to lock up the service. fix with restart module.
- after a length of time (a day or so?) uploading torrents to the box will crash the service somewhat (downloading torrents will break, seeding torrents seem to be fine?) restarting the module from the module management page fixes it but it rolls back settings and categories, as well as state of recent torrents (finished ones go back to still downloading, but then a re check fixes that up, which doesnt quite work when forced from azsmrc)
- settings and categories dont stick (as u are aware)
- reconnect every 5 s or so as stated above (not too bad since i only use the html page anyway for day to day stuff)
hope it all helps. ;D i'd do one myself if i knew how to eagerly await a new revision has made my life of craptastic mldonkey days so much easier. dropping seeds is not what i call evolutionary

New version posted www.drewy.com/download_section.aspx?doc_section=1Latest 3.5.0 version of Azureus. Now saves config between restarts/re-boots. Defaults to /raid/data/torrents save location (need to create this folder before installing the mod). Safepeer "appears" to be working.

seems like all is good. ;D btw, is there anyway to turn on encoding choices for torrents as I really dislike downloading things with ?? every where in the file names, but for whatever reason, anything i try doesnt work, aka azsmrc remote setting.

Finally a good Torrent client - Well done! Works fine for me... the HTML interface is simple and easy to use and seems quite lightweight in terms of resources on the N5200 pro. I have it downloading 6 Torrents about a 1GB each, on a 24MB internet connection, the net connection is maxed out with all torrents coming in super rapidly and I am still able to stream video to two rooms flawlessy from this little beast of a NAS drive. Now I am even happier with my N5200... Thanks again
