Hi everyone,
I've just installed my N2100 but found no way to disable anonymous FTP. I think it's a big security problem.
I also found no way to limit the upload speed on the FTP.
Any help would be really really appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks a lot but I still can't figure out why Thecus folks haven't put an option in GUI.
In fact I was just looking for "what to change" do disable that. That's great that you've written a script!

The FTP server installed by default on the N2100 is pureFTPd. You can read documentation for all the possible settings here... download.pureftpd.org/pub/pure-ftpd/doc/READMEThe setting you are looking for is -T <upload>:<download>. You could modify the disable_anon_ftp_access.sh script to add your chosen settings to the pureFTPd command line. e.g. change sed -i 's/AHM/AEH/app/bin/rc/rc.ftpd to... sed -i 's/AHM/AEH -T 10:20/app/bin/rc/rc.ftpd Which would limit upload bandwidth to 10K/s and download bandwidth to 20K/s. Note that these values are in kilobytes and not kilobits 10K/s = 80Kbps I've not tried this myself but it looks like it will work.
