Hi, Is it possible for someone to create an LDAP module based on openLDAP?
Thanks!

I'm considering buying the 5200BR, but it must authenticate to an Open Directory on an OS X Server.
Lack of (Open)LDAP support is a deal-breaker

nigelmoore,
thats not what adamsdon67 meant actually - he wants to run slapd on the box.
Generic LDAP authentication/synchronization (the client side) is not supported by the N5200.

Hello fajo Yes, I figured that that was what OP wanted, I as just adding that authentication as a client would be highly desirable. I understand that it's not supported now, but that's what wishlists are for!

Yes, Fajo you are correct.
If an experienced "module" creator would create an Openldap or similar module for client authentication then it would be much appreciated by many.
I have a few web applications that would benefit using a database for authentication instead of multiple individual auth., thus creating a single signon for my website.
Thanks in advance...

Hi, Any luck on an LDAP (preferably OpenLDAP) (slapd) module?
I'm surprised it's not done already as single sign-on is a great feature and LDAP is supported on a lot of PHP/WEB applications.
Maybe someone can suggest another solution?

ldap support is key.
Currently I am using the ready nas. Because total lack of support (not a single firmware update for over a year) since it is taken over by netgear I am leaving that platform. The first device that supports both zfs and [open]ldap or open directory is where my money goes.
