I would like to set my n2100 to use a port besides 80 for web access. I want to do this because I have a number of servers running on my network, and I like to try to correllate ip with access port. So, for example, my main router is 192.168.1.1, so I have it set to allow remote management on port 8081. My openwrt wireless router is 192.168.1.2, so I have it set to allow remote management on port 8082. So for example, if my n2100 is 192.168.1.9, I'd like to be able to access it on port 89 or 8089 and securely on port 449 instead of 443. However, when I try to set the port to 89, this is what I get: And when I try to set https to 449: I was able to set the http port to 8089, at the moment would prefer 89, and frankly, would just like to know the cause of this error message. I want to do this because I need to keep port 80 open for my webserver, until I can figure out how to get the n2100 to function reliably as a relatively full-featured webserver. I would of course prefer this, as it would free up a computer, that I now have to leave running 24/7. Of course, if I were able to migrate my web needs to the n2100, I would want it to listen on 80 and 443 for regular traffic, and some other port specifically for administration and access to the built-in web stuff. Probably this is pie in the sky, but I'd love to hear from anyone who has accomplished this. many thanks!

Every UNIX system will restrict access to ports below 1024 (they are called privileged ports for a reason)! Thecus was wise enough to honor this by only allowing ports 80 and 443 within this range. Of course you are free to remove this restriction if you want, just modify /img/htdocs/adm/httpd.htm
