I have been having fun with adding IMAP functionality to my 5200. The processes runs successfully however I cannot connect to them over my LAN, and the logging is not working. I think that it is a simple port blocking issue. I am not an expert in LINIX admin and I am struggling. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in taking what I have done and getting it to work. Currently the files are copied from a debian VM and put into a module directory, in the same structure as a real root directory. I have fixed up all the config and script files to use the the new directory location. Other issues are that: - Each user must have their MaidDir setup.
- The /etc/passwd file needs to specify the home directory of each user (currently empty, I use /raid/data/home/<username>).
- Also work needs to be done to make secure sockets work with each user.
The first two points I have fixed manually the last I will look at once I have the port 143 working. If anyone is interested I will put what I have in a place for it to be picked up. Regards Edward
