I have PureFTPD V2.00.01 installed and have it configured to disable anonymous login. I have two simple questions. 1) Why does the time in the log file not match the system time? It appears to be ahead by 7 hours. The times on the files are correct however. 2) When I log into the ftp server I have to put the user name & password into the url (http://user:password@xxxxx.com). On my old ftp sever I would get a pop-up asking for user name and password. If I try to access the ftp server without the user name & password in the url I get an "FTP folder error". Why is is necessary to put the user name & password in to the url on the N5200? I have firmware version 1.00.08. Thanks.

To 1) You are right - mine are 2 hours wrong - and at the moment I have no idea. I'm on a business trip and will check it on the weekend To 2) this is more or less a function of the explorer You use.If I use it then I put in (i.e MS IE 6): - myurl.com- then the error pops up, cause IE wants to login as anonymous - via file -> login as you are ab le to login br Peter

Concerning point 1 it was helpful to read the pure-ftpd documentation in more detail - I should have done this before The Times in the log file are stored in GMT format, so depending on the time zone you are you will see the differences. There are now 3 solutions: a) display the local server time (this can be done via php on the server side) b) display the time in the users local time - user is the admin who is looking at the log file (must be done via javascript) c) leave it as it is I'm not sure which is the best solution for the module, so at the moment I will change nothing. br Peter

Thanks for looking into it. It is not a critical issue, I can just do the math in my head ;D
