A updated version of the TWONKYMEDIA module is available. As omega seems to be very busy and I'm using the module myself, I have updated it with the new twonkymedia version 4.2.1 (hope You don't mind omega). It is available on the Thecus wiki pages for download: onbeat.dk/thecus/index.php/N5200_Module:_TWONKYMEDIAbr Peter

Hi - sorry if this is somewhat OT. I'm wondering if this module can be used on a 4200 (simply for cost reasons - there is a sizeable price difference here in Australia between the 2 boxes).
Thanks

Is the 4200 a thecus product? I could not find any information on it. If you mean the 4100, it will not work as is. It is running on a different platform so it would require a recompile to work. Teng

Sorry - I did mean the 4100. Bummer - is anyone keen to take this onboard? The 4100 seems to be a reasonable price for a raid 5 unit!

Well, most of the people here bought the 5200 because of it's processor, much faster than the 4100, this gives you much greater flexibility in terms of adding addition features.
With that said, the 4100 and the 2100 are binary compatible. I checked on the WIKI and notice that the 4100 does not have a TWONKYMEDIA module, but the 2100 does. Since this is the case, it would not be very hard to get the module from the 2100 to work on the 4100 if needed. You might want to check in the 2100 and 4100 group for help.

The problem with the 4100 as I see it is that nobody seem to know whether or not it even has a module framework.
