I'm sorry but I'm not used to speak in bits just bytes , so it's 29 MBytes.

EDIT: just noticed in INFO the under RAID chunk size, it reports an error, but state is clean, and my spare is not showing up. Same here. I would not worry if everything works fine. Same here, but the File Access Cache works fine. (Firmeware 2.00.01)

I'm sorry but I'm not used to speak in bits just bytes , so it's 29 MBytes. May be your N5200 was empty? My new N5200BR Pro is also not capable to store more than app. 12 MB/s on iSCSI partition when the files are big (> 550 MB). Measured with a RAM disk as the source storage. This is similar to what Sandra Lite 2008.1.12.30 show for random write on the mounted file system when its defrag option is off: 13 MB/s.
(N5200Pro is equipped with 3 Hitachi HUA721010KLA330 (1TB each) in RAID 5 mode, 50 % full.)

No my raid is not empty. However if I use Norton antivirus the speed drops to 6MB/sec. I tried 5 antivirus produkts and in the end the Antivir, it's free , gave the best results.

I tested with "uncritical" files. So there is no change of the transfer rates if virus protection software is On or Off in my case.

Should I attempt to contact Thecus about this? I had contacted them about the two issues that made me want to try the update... -Moving files from one location to an other on the NAS causes the files to become hidden -After ~1 day the NAS would drop off the network, and not become addressable again until restarted. It's logs would indicate a disk I/O error, but I could find no way of determining which disk was causing the issue. ...and have never heard back from them regarding either query. After a while of being frustrated by that I decided to try the update, but obviously haven't had much luck. I know the answer to your first problem, I had the same issue thecususergroup.proboards106.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=installationissues&thread=1163537973&page=1can't help with the others....
