I don't know whether Thecus checks this board as well... Would be great if Thecus could provide us with their roadmap for firmware changes / fixes....

I don't think any company will publish their roadmap in public. They are considered confidencial usually. However it will be good if they can list what will be fixed/added for future firmware with ETA.

Maybe quite some companies don't, but there also companies which do (especially if software still has bugs) .... e.g. PixelMagic

Thecus is trying to catch up and is late to market with their product. They should be touting their roadmap so that former customers who are loyal to Thecus who presumably trust them will want to wait for them to "get it right". The times when you do NOT want to publish your roadmap are when you're already ahead of the competition and you don't want to tip your hand to help your competitors catch up. For whatever it is worth, I've been a product manager in the software, security, and network services industries for 15+ years now. So I feel confident when I talk about roadmaps and when to use them and when NOT to use them.
