I've attached a USB drive to one of the ports at the back of my N2100 ... I can access it and browse the contents from my Windows box, but I don't seem to be able to write to it ?
Are you supposed to be able to write to the USB drive as well as read ?
It's a Maxtor OneTouch drive.

How is it formatted? If it is NTFS then you will only have "limited" write access (and may have none pre the latest 2.1.01 firmware) as the SAMBA file sharing (Linux open source "clone" of Microsoft SMB file sharing protocol) cannot fully support NTFS writing (latest version allows deletes and in place writes provided no extra space needs to be allocated when the file is written).
This is all because MS keep thier NTFS stuff secret so SAMBA has had to be all reverse engineered

Ahh yes, it is NTFS, so that might explain it. Okay - not a big deal ... I'll just plug the drive into my laptop instead like I used to
