Hello everybody,
I could need some help. My Setup: N5200PRO with FW 2.01.09 Until yesterday my Thecus was equipped with 4 Samsung HD103UJ 1 TB drives configured as RAID5 (Filesystem ext3). Well, yesterday I added a 5th HD103UJ and started RAID migration from RAID5 with 4 disks to RAID5 with 5 disks. The migration went fine (took 33 hours) and the NAS shows 25% of unused space now. My problem is that I can't expand the RAID to use the additional storage. Immediately after starting the RAID expansion, I get this "LVM-lv resize fail" error and that's it. At least the RAID is still healthy although I can't make use of the newly added disk space.
Any ideas how to solve this?
Thank you very much in advance.

I ran into this a few months ago. I ended up starting over and restoring from backup. This week I decided to upgrade my other raid in the box. I was hoping that the new firmware would get it past the error but it did not. I googled the error again and found this: www.thecusforum.eu/showthread.php?t=2434Happily my expansion just completed and all appears well! I had everything backed up so it was worth the risk in saving hours of time rebuilding and restoring. Good luck.

Thanks for the info eems01!
Meanwhile I was able to solve the problem with help from Thecus support. The solution was to replace FW 2.01.09 with the last stable release. After installation of the old FW the whole RAID expansion was done in just 30 minutes. Obviously, this function seems to be broken in FW 2.01.09
