top line, all the way on the right, i have an exclamation point (!) in the display.
anyone know why?
also, the system can no longer see my UPS (not that it ever supported it correctly in the first place)
2007/02/10 13:37:44 N5200 : The system N5200 found UPS is unavailable. 2007/02/10 13:37:39 N5200 : The system N5200 found communications lost to the UPS.
i have emailed thecus tech support and have not received an answer, it's been over a week.

I also have the exclamation mark on the top right. I'm not sure it's anything to worry about tho

Me too.... I do have some knowledge about how to address the LCD display but there is no real description available on what the LCD display shows when. Thecus: please explain what is shown or can be shown on the LCD display under which situation. In this case: what is the meaning of the exclamation mark at the right side? Andreas

I'm running into the same. I have no idea why the (!) is there on the screen. It just bothers me a lot, but the machine is still working fine.

Mine has the pling sign too! No UPS connection at all here. I've decided to stop worrying about it.

Omega: tried pressing the down arrow and the enter buttons, the machine just asks me for the menu password... "When LCD in HBT mode . You can click down and enter button in the same time . HBT log will be clear. " i guess the question is, what is HBT mode and how do i get there? Hi Chris, i was under the (apparently mistaken) impression that the N5200 only communicated to UPSs via USB, not RS-232, my UPS has both... perhaps i'll try the serial port....

You enter the HBT log by just pressing the ESC button. Then (and it is important that you're IN the HBT log) press the Down and Enter button the same time and your HBT log gets cleared and the exclamation mark disappears..... Andreas P.S. The N5200 currently only talks to a UPS device using the serial interface. Of course it would be possible to write a module in order to support USB connections to UPS too......
