Hi,
The TwonkyMedia v2.1.00 module for N2100/N4100/N4100+ is available on the Wiki (http://onbeat.dk/thecus/index.php/N4100_Module_List). It contains TwonkyMedia v5.0.55.
I updated the N2100 page with links for the N4100's models.
It is working on my N4100 (not plus).
If someone can give a feedback for N4100+ it would be appreciated.

Humm...
I am having problems with this version : after some time scanning files the NAS will hang (not responsive on network, no drive activity)...
I will go back to previous version until that is fixed.
Sorry. Ed

Hi,
The log file is giving a clue:
05:38:40:343 LOG_SCAN: scanned /raid/Video/Music/Mp3/Instrumental/Jean Michel Jarre/Oxygene 7-13 05:38:40:357 LOG_SCAN: adding file /raid/Video/Music/Mp3/Instrumental/Jean Michel Jarre/Oxygene In Moscow/01 - Countdown.mp3 05:38:40:364 LOG_SYSTEM:upnp_file_create_path: error creating directory: /root/.TwonkyMediaServer/db/16/Mp3/Instrumental/Jean Michel Jarre/Oxygene In Moscow 05:38:40:454 LOG_SCAN: added /raid/Video/Music/Mp3/Instrumental/Jean Michel Jarre/Oxygene In Moscow/01 - Countdown.mp3
There are tonnes of that type of error.
Obviously, there is a bug in the folder name (/root/.TwonkyMediaServer/db/...).
I will try to investigate that (I hope it will be available in the source files).

You should set some of the folders, which are not changeable via the twonkymedia configuration pages in the twonkymedia-server-default.ini file - heres an example of this folders from the N5200/N7700 modules ini file:
Ah yes, these values are taken from the server only if the ini file is not existing. Unfortunatly the ini file has UTF-16 encoding, so it can't be changed with vi. So changin values in the defualt ini files requires then first a stop of the server (disabling the module) and then deleting the ini file and then restarting (enabling) the module again.

Hi,
The server is up and running for 3 hours now. I will update the packages for version v5.0.46 and v5.0.55.
BTW, do you know how to change the log file location ?

Hi, I've updated the TwonkyMedia module to save the settings on the raid (/raid/module/TWONKEYMEDIA/.Twonkeymedia) instead of on root drive (/root/.Twonkeymedia). The module should work for N2100/N4100/N4100+. As I cannot test it on a N2100 and N4100+ all comments are welcome. The update is on the N2100 Module page ( onbeat.dk/thecus/index.php/N2100_Module:_TWONKYMEDIA) Ed

Hi,
I updated the v5.0.55 module to create log file on the raid instead of on /var/tmp (did not change v5.0.46).
Thanks to Perterfu.

Hi,
I've got the N4100Pro and have been using Twonky module 2.00.17 with 5.0.65.
Mostly very good. It get a hammering 8+ hours a day of constant streaming to my PS3. Mostly rock solid, I think its only gone down once since the original install of the module.
Would the N4100Pro be able to handle a media server with Transcoding?? Maybe a Tversity or PS3 Media Server module would be great.

Hi, after spending "some" time to find out how to install TwonkyMediaServer on my Thecus N4100pro I finally decided to ask for help from someone who was more successful than I was so far... My problem starts with a very simple situation: to find out how to install the appropriate x86 .sh or .zip file! The Thecus manual is not so very helpful to have direct access to the LINUX system... Otherwise I would prefer to have a module file available I can install from the built-in NAS configuration tool. There are lots of very specific hints and tips "how to" - but there is often some context missing to make it understandable for me: probably all the authors are LINUX experts. I am not I would be lucky if someone would explain step by step how to proceed "from the very beginning" / for beginners? Or (perhaps better) a hint where I can find a compatible module file for easy installation? Kind regards Reinhard
